Chocks Away! London is the ultimate launch pad for an exciting European adventure, and here at SU London we believe that field study trips and organised all school outings are a valuable means to enrich your experience abroad.

Here at SU London you will be spoiled by access to what London and the Continent have to offer!

Field Studies aim to provide:

• Closer contact with the British and European reality
• More direct access to the culture within which you are trying to integrate
• Enhanced opportunities to learn from direct experience about the subjects you are studying in class

What to expect?

• London is a theatre students dream! Certain courses will take you all over the world of London theatre.
• Interested in the European Union? ‘The European Union’ course takes you to Brussels, headquarters of the EU.

And Beyond Field Studies...

We aim to provide as many Field Trips for all SU London students as possible, to as wide a range of destinations as possible. Past students have travelled to Bath, Yorksire, the East End, Canterbury, Stonehenge and Salisbury. We hope that students returning to the US will take with them a multi-dimensional view of the diversity and rich cosmopolitan history of the UK and Europe.

An all-school field trip has, for example, made several incredible weekend visits to Istanbul, and returned with an enhanced understanding of London and Europe’s relationship with and proximity to old Byzantium and the Near East.

SU ♥ London Weekends

In our specially scheduled SU ♥ London Weekends, students are encouraged to abandon their frantic pan European travel plans, and enjoy a special weekend here in the UK, participating in spectacular special events, and taking advantage of a range of field trips, walks, talks and other activities that will open up London and the UK in ways you would never have dreamed!
